Please note: Panels were temporarily installed on a ground-mount array for two months until the final panels were available and installed. The frame size of the panels on pallet one are slightly different size than pallet two, which is the reason they were replaced so quickly. The panels are otherwise like new.

These panels are manufactured in Indiana, USA and have an excellent price-per-watt and outstanding build quality. These are the panels we include in our off-grid bundles (coming soon!). We have installed hundreds of these for customers with cabins, farms, or other fixed installations utilizing PV ground mounts. 420W is a manageable size for DIYers and the bifacial cells offer an additional 10-30% of backside gain over and above the nominal 420W produced by the front side. The amount of gain depends on the backside of the panels not being significantly shaded and a ground surface that reflects scattered light to the backside of the panels. White stone such as river rock, pea gravel, etc. make a great “ground” under these panels and also reduce the amount of weeds and grasses under the ground mount, reducing the need to mow under the panels. In the Winter, snow makes an excellent reflector, making bifacial panels an excellent solar module for northern climates.

Please note: these panels do not carry a UL listing so they are not recommended for use on the roof of a structure subject to inspection by your local authority. They are outstanding panels for ground mounting, where the backside gain of a bifacial panel really shines (pun intended) 🙂
